Description

Richard is the King of England, and a devout catholic. His belief in Christianity is so deep that he convinced his long time foe, King Philip II, King of France, to join him in a holy crusade to retake the Kingdom of Jerusalem from the Saracens (what the Europeans called the Muslims of the time). Before he became famous as a crusader, he earned the title "Coeur de Lion" or Lionheart both for his abilities and bravery in battle.
